Administrative Set-up

Hon'ble M-I-C, SHG & SE Department and Chairman of WBSCL heads the Corporation.
The Managing Director of WBSCL enjoys specified financial and administrative powers delegated to him.
Next in the hierarchy are four General Managers in charge of a) Finance, b) Administration & HR, c) Distribution and Retail Market Operations and d) Procurement and Purchase.
WBSCL's present staff complement also includes two Dy. General Managers looking after Procurement and Purchase & Human Resources and one Retired Bank Official looking after the West Bengal Swanirbhar Sahayak Prakalpa (WBSSP). In addition, one Officer-On-Special Duty looks after office administration. The officers are assisted by one Assistant, one Data Entry Operator and two Group 'D' Employees.
As per the Company's Act, the Corporation is required to recruit a full-time Company Secretary, through open advertisement. Pending recruitment, WBSCL utilizes the services of a qualified Company Secretary on a retainer basis.
The above staff complement which is skeleton in nature is planned to be increased in a phased manner.
